5 Year Theory strikes again

~Because, I couldn’t have acted it out better myself. —Thanks, Kesli for bringing this to light.

My added tidbits of thought.

5 Year Theory strikes again.

Sometimes conversations will tell you, other times simply observing from a distance is all that is warranted.

Outgrowing them—friends, family, or colleagues and walking away IS okay.

Even if you were close and even if you have fond memories.

Not everyone stays at the same momentum as you and many choose stagnation in many regards because that’s all they know—comfortability negates progress, they know this, but growth is scary, unsettling; different.

There will be a time to wash your hands clean, fight for what’s right, but don’t stay stuck in one place perpetually.

For what is the very logic of attempting to do something over and over again knowing full well, change won’t occur—insanity; a deeply stubborn, self-defeating trap.

Do not get stuck in that trap.

I choose not to, and I implore you to take note.

I will plant seeds, I will encourage, I will educate, but I will not beg.

I will sit with you, I will walk with you, but I will not follow alongside behaviours that are continuously unedifying and poisonous to not just myself, but to others and the environment.

While YOU may be joyous, laughing at the pain of what you disregard..

I choose to stand up and walk away.

I don’t have to hate you, I can pity you, feel sorry for you and still preserve my mental and physical health without you. 👋
